Design Lighting
Bob Stokes has been in the lighting business since the '70s and a sculptor since birth. He’s created a plethora of distinguished pieces from the world’s largest chandelier to the memorial tribute for Pearl Harbor, as well as lining the streets of Tahoe City, California, with his timeless light fixtures.
Now, for his next exciting venture, he has teamed up with Cindy Elstrom to hand-build his classic line of brass and copper fixtures and beautiful hand-painted silk chandeliers. Both artists are excited to build fixtures with design, style and quality in mind.
As well as smaller lights, Bob Stokes and Cindy Elstrom have created large chandeliers for the Four Seasons Hotels in Hawaii.
Bob Stokes built the world's largest chandelier, an 80 foot diameter, 12,000 pound illuminating art piece of stainless steel, bronze and glass. Hung at Jakarta, Indonesia.
The San Francisco City Hall project won the International Association of Lighting Designers Award of Merit. Bob Stokes used the original drawings and photographs of the 1915 building as the basis for the new lighting scheme and fixtures.
Bob Stokes also created light fixtures for the Benaroya Concert Hall in Seattle.
